Neither of these sounds can alert other monsters. Upon seeing the player, they will emit a grunt signifying that they have been alerted, and will continue to grunt as they follow the player. While idle, they emit can emit a hissing or a gargling sound from time to time. Shooting one arm can dismember it, but the zombie will keep moving at the same speed and attacking at the same speed, producing the same damage. It takes 4 shots with the pistol to kill them, and 3 if all shots connect to one of their legs. However, they can also be overwhelming at times when their groups are dense. They can block the player's shots as well as the enemy's, so it's possible to use them for cover. They either already are scattered across the map or spawn in location when the player is present, often in groups, and even with other types of monsters. If they are alerted by the player, they will try to get as close as possible, walking slowly across the environment to reach them. They don't use any weaponry so they rely on melee attacks to do damage.
Zombies themselves do not pose any important threat individually. They once were humans, but the Chaos Creatures corrupted them. They are weaker than the rest of the Zombie enemies types.
